Good colors for teen girl bedroom?

So I was thinking that I should change the paint color in my room, but I'm not sure what to go for: dark, light, bright, etc. I've had the same very light purple color since I was like 8 or 9. Now it's starting to get embarassing because I also have pink and purple polka dots and it really DOES look like a little girl's room. What are some sophisticated color, but also cute? Thanks!
