Would you say the sony ericsson xperia play is a good phone?

im not a big texter or angry birds fan and my psp is a bit of a pain to carry everywhere so this seemed like a good substitute when im out and about doin crap, i wanted to know what your thoughts were on it. i know the sony dedicated library is small at the moment but will it increase soon? and how about regular apps do those work with the d pad and triangle circle x and square buttons? thanks
