Parents: Are you part of a homeowner's association?

No I'm not, I use to live in a home where we had a HOA and I hated it. I would never want to live in another place where we had to go by someone else's rules and pay a fee to follow rules that I don't agree on. As far as I know you can't purchase a home in a HOA and not follow the rules.
