RECENT ANTHRO GRADUATE: How to find a job?

One of the main jobs you can get with an anthropology degree is as a cultural specialists. There is a great demand for people who can specialise in Firtst Nation/Indigenous community relations in addition to people who can assist in traditional landuse assessments. Pretty much before a development (roads, mining, oil and gas etc) can take place within an area consultation with the traditional landowners must take place. THe area must be assessed for its traditional value and then agreements must be made between the First Nation and the client. Also you would facilitate in getting First Nation communities involved in various environmental assessment aspects, such as biological studies etc. I know in Canada there is a shortage of people for these jobs.
